Civic Centre Plan

The planned civic centre is designed to offer support, hospitality and assistance to persons or families in difficult situations due to the degeneration of family relationships, parenting and emotional, and phenomema of violence.
The building is volumetrically configured as a cuboid with a square base, which has been removed a volume on the south side, in order to create a shelter with outdoor area facing the square.
The distribution and functions includes three distinct areas although spatially interrelated: the entrance, on the south side, with an open-space configures a reception, multi-functional space; the support area is composed of three spatially distinct areas located on the north side of the building; finally, the range of services and technical rooms located in the east wing of the structure.
The outer shell of the building consists of masonry walls on which is fixed a ventilated façade system, coated with aluminium laminate.
The metal panels create a sequence of three modular vertical strips with different widths and colours, thereby allowing a more dynamic perception of the building, so that it is clearly different from the context.
For the coverage of the structure is expected the realization of a green roof system; the system offers greater thermal inertia and regulation of hygro-thermal flows.
