TWIN CITIES SQUARE

The purpose is to recreate an urban net, by a series of objects set in an orthogonal grid where some free spaces are open, as classic squares: places to stay and meet. It is in these open spaces where tribute to the twin cities is done, by means of photographs, pictures, texts and diagrams printed on the blocks. The outer blocks, facing the street, are used to hold temporary shows or information about the neighborhood and the city.

The blocks are made of a translucent material (kryon) with a system of colored led lights inside that changes color and intensity, controlled by a computer application. The spaces between the blocks are filled with vegetation, specially a small plant called “la Rubia”, which gives its name to the neighborhood.
