MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF POLISH JEWS, WARSAW - competition

One of the most overwhelming moments in History took place in Warsaw. The Jewish community of Poland wanted to rise a museum/monument to this exact moment, to pay tribute to what was there before the german occupation.

The project uses a double structure skin in the façade where staircases make people pass trough a narrow space when moving from one level to the other. The course starts on the top floor, and goes down and down to the underground level, almost dark. At the end, an elevator bring the visitor back to the light of the cantilevered hall that serves as a canopy.
