BARBERÁ DEL VALLÉS PUBLIC LIBRARY - competition

The lower lever is connected to a public open space, working all together as one single piece. It is wide open, which helps users to find easily their position in the building and reinforcing the relationship between interior and exterior.

The garden/square is thought to act an open air reading room.

The box above, containing the library and reading rooms, is almost closed, with small openings to let the light come in in a controlled way.
