    Thanksgiving in Canada

Myself and about 12 others had a fantastic dinner last night. Those of us who couldn't make it home for turkey threw ourselves a party and invited anyone else who was lonely and forlorn away from home. We actually ended up with quite a few of the American students who, of course, don't have turkey to go home to in the US at this time of year anyway. Exciting, no?

We cooked a giant turkey (hats off to Graham, the master chef of the evening) and had potatoes, yams, salads, veggies (cold and hot), buns, too much wine, Scrabble and the Settlers of Catan, and a few, um, "relaxation inducers." It's Vancouver, you know? Vansterdam?

Anyhow, fun was had by all.
