The idea for this house started by taking photos relating to mobility, immobility, and inbetweenness. From these photos, a series of photo sequences were created to develop a series of models and diagrams to create design ideas for this house. From the series of diagrams, schemes including orthogonals, tension, and architectonic were created to show the potential of the house. From the architectonic schemes, a concept was created from one of the architectonic diagrams because it shows potential doorways and paths through the house in a sectional view. From there, a series of cascading pavilions was created for the family.
