With this design, my goal was to bring the active life of Seville, Spain to the river. The original dock that is along the river is replaced with this design. From analyzing the site, there were couples that were sitting on the dock's edge and talking to each other. As you walk onto the new design, there is a pathway that leads to a shading device with an uncovered central area. On either side of the shading device is a kiosk and an area used for socializing and dancing.
The structure uses glass columns that are used to attach the steel rods to the shading device. On each side of the design is a kiosk. The northern kiosk is used for drinks, and the southern kiosk is used for snacks. As you walk towards the bridge, Puente del Cachorro, the shading device has a greater slope on the northern side so that it breaks away from the symmetry while making it more dynamic. In addition, the northern side reserved for dancing. The southern side also slopes, but the slope is not as defined in order to make this area more relaxed than the northern side.
