This masterplan proposal for the blocks immediately west of a major railroad Station was presented as an augmentation to a university’s campus-wide masterplan. The program includes academic offices, teaching space, research laboratory space, commercial office space, student and market rate housing, street level retail and restaurants, and a 5000 seat auditorium. The combined area of program is approximately 5 million square feet including parking.This study prompted the university to further retain Varenhorst to design a new 230,000 SF over-build for its University Plaza.
