About

Trained at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture, with 16+ years in the field, I've been involved in award-winning built work spanning Singapore, New York & Miami since 1994.

With key strengths in communication & coordination, I specialize in achieving complex team cohesion , and getting things built. My love for detailing, seldom satisfied these days, continually laments the death of hand drafting. I revel in the knowledge in traditional detailing and use of natural materials, gleaned from my time with Richard Ho in Singapore, himself a disciple of Aldo Rossi.

My design tenets are INTEGRITY (of concept), SIMPLICITY (in expression), HONESTY (of materials & structure) & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (of site & program). Once these are in congruence, the rest falls into place.

A 5-yr tenure at Shulman + Assoc., managing the Soho Beach House, Miami Beach - an 80K SF, US$50M hotel, completed 2010 - serving as both PM & PA, was my professional "coming of age". At KPA, I lead multiple retail build-outs across the US, inc.CA, NV, NC, NY & FL, resulting in thorough fluency of Building, Life Safety & ADA Codes, at both Federal & State levels. My time at ICRAVE as Snr PM /Team Lead broadened my skill set to include high end hospitality design in airports, with ICRAVE's renown expertise in experiential design, helming Komodo, a 14.5K SF, US$12M luxury restaurant build-out in Brickell, Miami, completed October 2015. 3+ years at the Stephen B Jacobs Group added further scale to my experience, with core & shell, ground-up mid-rise multi-family buildings. Conducting multiple development feasibility studies helped develop a thorough knowledge of the complex NYC Zoning Resolutions , Affordable Housing Guidelines & Multiple Dwelling Law.

My current efforts at Champalimaud Design, led by the world-renown Alexandra Champalimaud take me squarely into the realm of high-end luxury interior design, both residential & hospitality, with a project roster spanning from New York to Hong Kong.
