› As a part of the relocation plan of PHILIPS Lighting to Eindhoven a new interior design and FitOut proposal has been created. The aim was to establish a mixed office/prototype lab/showcase environment where employees from different sections of the company would be encouraged to talk, exchange ideas and work together.
› The concept consists of a series of Gravity Centres located at the important communication points. These Centres serve as the connection Knots between specific work environment clusters and incorporate needs for meeting, leisure, informal exchange, individual and communal workstations as well as spaces for occasional coffee break. Each of these functions have been designed into a modular, frame based, archetype.
› The furniture design aims to create a special interior atmosphere where light would turn to a spatial motive. Modularity of the archetypes allow for different interpretation in the frame fill area, which opened possibilities for the development of a series of light penetrated Media Walls.
