DALLAS REVISION MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING

THE DALLAS REVISION BRIEF CALLS FOR SOMETHING “NEVER SEEN BEFORE.” WE PROPOSE A NEW KIND OF COMMUNITY THAT CALLS FOR SUSTAINABLE RESIDENTIAL LIVING WITH A SENSE OF PROGRESS, ACTIVITY, EDUCATION AND PRODUCTION.  THE COMPLEX WAS DESIGNED IN A CELLULAR MANNER TO ALLOW FOR MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY AND THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS.  THE BUILDING WILL BE HOME TO A DIVERSE, MIXED INCOME, THREE GENERATION COMMUNITY. IT IS DESIGNED SO THAT EVERY RESIDENT HAS THE ABILITY TO ENGAGE IN SUSTAINABLE ACTIVITIES: THE GROWTH OF ORGANIC VEGETABLES, THE CREATION OF RECYCLED VISUAL ART, EDUCATION COURSES TAUGHT ON-SITE, THE OPPORTUNITY TO SELL LOCALLY PRODUCED FOOD IN THE MARKET, OR THE USE OF A SHARED TRANSIT BICYCLE. THIS WILL THEN PLAY A PRODUCTIVE ROLE IN THE LOCAL ECONOMY, BOTH ON-SITE AND OFF. THE SUSTAINABLE DESIGN ELEMENT ON THE PROJECT WAS MY PRIMARY TASK, AS WELL AS GRAPHICS AND IMAGERY.
