By the time I arrived to the building above Portuguese Point, Pacific Ocean already prepared me to talk with architecture of Wayfarers Chapel. Inside, I looked up and saw the architecture of timber and glass made a tree drawing, and outside, the structure ghosted into the background of redwoods and the sky. I thought that was a great job from a building who knew how to appear and disappear. That was it. People who were there to attend a wedding, also said "oh my God."

I have been fortunate in my life to have been in many incredible homes, commercial and civic structures in California including Frank Lloyd Wright's Marin County Civic Center, which I lived less than a mile from and used the building for all kinds of personal, business, and entertainment (Marin Co. Fair Annually held at the Civic Center and grounds)  as well as living about 30 mins Lloyd Jr's Wayfarer Chapel and been in attendance of three different weddings held there. It is breathtaking in its location, setting, design, and the feeling you get being there. I've also recently had the pleasure of working in the John Sowden House for a miniseries being shot using the home as one of our locations. Sowden House is incredible in its design.

It really is a shame that Jr. hasn't received the acclaim that he deserves being overshadowed by his father. He is as talented, I believe as his father and should be recognized as being so.

I'm so lucky to do the work I do and to be able to actually work in most of the historic, iconic, and valuable homes, estates, and landmarks in and around Los Angeles.  I count my lucky stars all the time and I take photos of every place I work so that I can share with others and enjoy again, myself.
