As a city that has wonderful assets at hand, we should exemplify what we have learned from other forward-thinking cities worldwide and take every opportunity to not only beautify Philadelphia through sustainable practices, but also increase life quality for ourselves, our neighbors, and our posterity. This plan retrofits the Reading Viaduct with a walkable elevated landscape that helps to buffer the noises of traffic and mitigate stormwater runoff. A cinema has been introduced into the neighborhood, and landscaping has taken into consideration noise buffers for the residents nearby, as well as shaping the large greenspace that may function both as a semi-private yard or event space for the block.
