Smith’s (Kroger) - SM276 South Jordan, UT

This was a Kroger ground-up new store, based on the (at the time) in-development 2017 prototypical elevation design. Although the Kroger company (Smith’s branch) was responsible for the actual building construction, we also had to work within additional developer and jurisdiction requirements for finish variation and building heights.

I incorporated some of the lessons learned during bid and CA on this project to help develop the Revit Prototype model for Kroger at CR. In addition to cleaning up our teams’ Revit modeling practices, this also included better documentation of regional discrepancies, roll-out of the Click-list program, and more cost effective ways of constructing elevations that meet the design intent and envelope performance requirements.
