Westside Pavilion

The Westside Pavilion has had a long history at Pico and Westwood in Los Angeles.  Retail had existed there since 1934, was developed further with the inclusion of a stand-alone May Department Store, and reached its height with the indoor mall added in 1985.

The 55 year old parking structure was dated to the original May Department Store and had seen several design adjustments in its service life.  In order to assess its condition for new use, I developed a model from scans of the original drawings.  The model included the multiple phases of development from 1960's to present day.
