My community involvement started at my hometown YMCA where I was in the ‘Leaders Club’ and helped teach gym classes and run kids activities on Saturdays throughout my junior high and high school years. At graduate school I was invited to be on the national Board of Directors for ADPSR (Architects, Designers and Planners for Social Responsibility) where I worked with top US architects and designers to set up programs aimed at creating better housing and a cleaner environment. I have been involved in a number of Chicago community programs through my Church, including being a founding board member of CTCC (Career Transitions Center of Chicago), an ecumenical, not-for-profit organization that helps individuals make career transitions.  I am currently on the Board of Directors of Trilogy, an award winning community mental healthcare provider on Chicago’s north side, where I chair both the Development and Facilities Planning committees.  I also serve on the Board of Directors for our condominium association at 950 N. Michigan Avenue.

Each of these experiences has afforded me not only opportunities to give back to the community and to support good causes, but to learn invaluable business and personal skills from the many wonderful professionals that I have worked with.
