The King Abdullah Financial District is a new city within a city in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that is being developed under the auspices of the Saudi Royal family.  It consists of more than 60 major buildings of all types and design, transportation infrastructure, and parks, and covers nearly one square mile.  It is unprecedented in many respects and has been under construction since 2008.  In my worldwide design and development experiences, KAFD stands apart for its labyrinth like maze of codes, development guidelines and participating entities. Keeping two complex projects moving in this environment was an everyday challenge.

As Project Designer for the luxury residences, retail and public spaces for two large mixed-use projects at KAFD, I directed the planning and design efforts of a group of architects and consultants.  As a Senior member of the design team, I was also instrumental in both the conceptual design and design development for both buildings.
