Tru by Hilton - Indianapolis Downtown

Of all the projects I have done over the years, this one might be my favorite because I managed all of it so closely through construction.  It's $22m, 148 keys, 110,000sf, 4 stories of CFS framing on 3 stories of precast parking garage.  No one thought we could do it, but we made it happen and eventually won Hilton's "best of brand" in 2021.  It's the tallest building in the area and it bridges a public way to connect 2 parcels.  The 1st floor lobby required creative ceiling support due to anticipated deflection of precast above under transient load.  It required Regional Center hearings, 2 building code variances and 4 zoning variances.  The parcel and general contractor were women-owned and the project architect (me) and lead structural engineer were also women.
