Students were asked to design a "Ranger Station" or lookout station at Big Bend National Park, in which Park Rangers were able to efficiently monitor the area for research purposes, as well as have an area that was to function as a living quarters for the stationed rangers. The proposed station was to be located on top of a cliff edge at the Big Bend National Park, overlooking the Rio Grande River.
Students were to account for location, site conditions, climate conditions, heating strategies, and efficient design implementation.
