The project is located in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. The project, located in the Kiyovu district, was designed on a 3000 m2 plot. The client, who has a plot of land in the Kiyovu area where rental income is high, wanted the most aesthetic and least costly project to be designed using the entire plot of land. A total of 29 flats were designed on 3 floors. Instead of the classic closed apartment corridor, the structure was considered as a part of the outdoor space with an open corridor. The architecture of the structure, consisting of Basement + Ground Floor + 2 floors, is formed by the union of frames of different sizes. The flats on the top floor create a rhythm in the structure by creating a cantilever with 3 masses separated from each other. The spaces between the flats on this floor are designed as a semi-open living area by closing them with a canopy. Canopies are architecturally emphasized by being located higher on the 2nd floor where they are located. They provide comfortable outdoor use on rainy days. The 20 x 6 meter long pool serves the entire apartment building. The 300 square meter gym on the first floor is also designed for the use of all tenants in the apartment building. The ground floor apartments have their own gardens. The first and second floor apartments each have balconies for outdoor use. All apartments are self contained and the living room and kitchen are designed together with the use of an open kitchen. Vertical circulation in the building is provided by 2 staircases, no elevator is designed. The stairs are located in the atriums.
