Benchmark 2020 Call for Proposals: Now Open!

Benchmark is an international design challenge which will culminate in permanent installations along Winnipeg and Manitoba’s trail systems. Storefront Manitoba and the Winnipeg Trails Association invite individuals and groups from around the world to submit an iconic design that will enhance the experience and accessibility of the trails to a diversity of users. We are looking for an intervention that has the power to bring people together, a place to rest, take a break, people watch, lean, ponder one’s surroundings, and even create new activities for the diverse users of our trails.
Harry Butler Institute Environmental Education Centre
Register/Submit Deadline: Monday, Feb 24, 2020
Murdoch University is embarking on the development of a globally significant environmental education centre. Named after Dr Harry Butler AO CBE, the Harry Butler Institute Environmental Education Centre will be home to the Harry Butler Institute and will support its goal to champion research into the co-existence of biodiversity, business and community. The competition will be in two stages, with an EOI followed by a single stage design competition, to select a winning competitor to design the Harry Butler Institute.
Hill of the Arts Competition

YAC - Young Architects Competitions and Urban Up l Unipol launch “Hill of the Arts”, a competition of ideas aiming to transform an almost-neglected villa near Turin into a unique and luxury art hotel. A cash prize of € 20,000 will be awarded to the winners selected by an outstanding jury panel made of, among the others, Patrik Schumacher (Zaha Hadid Architects), Daniel Libeskind, Emmanuelle Moureaux, Edoardo Tresoldi, Lukas Barry (Carmody Groarke architects), Paolo Danelli (DAP studio).
Living Pedestrian Bridge Over The Nile Competition | Cairo, Egypt | Tamayouz Excellence Award 2020

Submission Deadline: Tuesday, Sep 1, 2020
The Tamayouz Excellence Award is calling for submissions of a pedestrian bridge over the Nile connecting Midan Al-Tahrir Area (East Bank) to Al Zamalek area (West Bank) in Cairo. The solution should offer a seed for new ways of life across Cairo, and potentially other megalopolises across the world.
