The MIPIM and the Architectural Review have announced the winners of the 2019 Future Project Awards. Now in its 18th year, the competition exclusively celebrates the world's best unbuilt or incomplete projects judging across a range of categories such as 'Hotels & Leisure,' 'Mixed-Use,' 'Big Urban Projects,' and nine others.
The top prize this year for 'Future Project of the Year' was won by MVSA Architects and Stefano Boeri Architetti for their Wonderwoods project in Utrecht. The project involves two 90-meter mixed-use towers, one of which incorporates Boeri's vertical forest model by featuring 10,000 plants. Additional winners include an aquarium in Oslo, a design for Sydney's tallest tower, a tall wood building along Toronto's waterfront, and more. Below, check out the full list of winners.
