The Design for Diversity exhibition highlights six winners and shortlisted works from the 2014-2016 cycle of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. Shown in Boston's BSA Space, the projects on display were selected from more than 300 entries. The Aga Khan Award for Architecture supports the preservation and promotion of the material and spiritual heritage of Muslim societies.
Established by the Aga Khan in 1977, the triennial Award is granted to projects that celebrate architectural excellence and improve the overall quality of life of their surrounding communities.
The show displays works that provide for people’s physical, social, and economic needs, while responding to their cultural expectations. If you are in the Boston area before September 23 be sure to check out the exhibition. More information can be found here.
