The AIA has announced the winners of their Young Architects Award. Now in its 25th year, the awards competition distinguishes early-career professional architects who have been licensed for 10 years or less regardless of their age. The following 18 winners for 2018 have all shown exceptional leadership and have already made significant contributions to the profession. Hailing from all across the country, they work across a range of disciplines within the field, specializing in everything from masterplanning and sustainable architecture to historical preservation and healthcare design.

Lucey, FAIA (Chair), LML Consulting; Raymond "Skipper" Post, FAIA, Post Architects, Baton Rouge; Edward Vance, FAIA, EV&A Architects, Inc.; Peter Kuttner, FAIA, Cambridge Seven Associates, Inc.; John Castellana, FAIA, TMP Architecture, Inc. and Evelyn Lee, AIA, Savills Studley; here are the 2018 recipients:

In addition, the AIA has also selected seven Associate AIA members to receive their 2018 Associates Award. The honor is given to individual Associate AIA members to recognize outstanding leaders and creative thinkers for significant contributions to their communities and the architecture profession.
