Joseph Hanania digs into the ongoing tussle over the fate of the buildings that once housed the Fulton Fish Market. The Howard Hughes Corporation, a major developer, has plans (designed by SHoP architects) currently underway to redevelop the site. However the New Amsterdam Market Association, which runs an existing market on the site is proposing instead to repurpose both the Tin and New Market buildings as the city’s premiere public market.
