The Spacemaker VR by Digital Physical is a virtual reality software system that can add some new perspective to the entire design process. The Spacemaker lets designers export their 3D files and test out their creations, even during the design process. The software also includes customizable presentation display and realistic 3D models of world landmarks -- suitable for travel enthusiasts or perhaps a source of inspiration.
Digital Physical recently launched a Kickstarter campaign in hopes for a beta release by the first half of 2014.

"Digital Physical, which includes a number of virtual reality veterans, architects and user experience designers, has set the funding goal at $100,000 USD. The Spacemaker system will include realistic 3d models of world landmarks and buildings, a real-time 3d visualizer, and a simple 3d model creation workflow to enable designers to quickly and easily experience what it's like to walk inside their designs."
"'Its been a lifelong dream of mine to create a tool for designers to experience their creations while they are in the design process,' said Miles Kemp, Founder of Digital Physical. 'Spacemaker will fundamentally change the way that we design 3d spaces and offers an unprecedented level of realism. You feel like you are really there. Spacemaker is the first step to enable people to travel to their dream destinations, walk inside their favorite movies and tv shows, and experience what it feels like to walk through celebrity homes.'"
"Spacemaker is the first virtual reality system that enables designers, who are not software developers, the ability to create their own content for others to experience. This software system was designed to be portable, simple to use and take advantage of a number of virtual reality head mounted displays that are currently on the market for gamers."
"'We've already tested versions of Spacemaker with over 40 designers and used their feedback to shape the product," Kemp said. "We know the design community is going to love this and we want them to drive the future features of the software. Spacemaker has the potential to fundamentally change the way we design, present, and experience 3d spaces.'
Spacemaker is scheduled for beta release in 2014. However, early supporters who back the project will receive a significant discount on the future retail price and will be among the first people in the world to get access to the innovative software."
