So there is ice on Mars. If we can leave it alone for a few million (or billion) years, it will likely turn to life on Mars.
At least, that would seem plausible given the experiments of Stanley Miller, which showed that at frozen temperatures liquids can turn into amino acids, which we all know are the building blocks of protein.
Just in case anyone didn't know why ice on Mars is such a big deal. I love that the insatiable desire to know more about the world and ourselves is still blowing our minds. I just hope research can continue to be funded!
