I want to just re-iterate something i said in an early post.
I really was impressed by this year's Architecture issue.
It seemed to discuss some meatier issues than just the usual "prettiness".
Perhaps the issues of urbanism are really coming to the fore of at least the "chattering class's" awareness.
I would like to think this is a positive development. Maybe it is just me. I was just really struck by some of the essays.
nam, i agree. i was a bit disappointed by how short the interview with penalosa was. it started nicely with the talk about sidewalks, and then it became very shallow... not sure if the blame is penalosa or the interviewer's.... what's funny is at the end it says 'interview conducted, edited and condensed'
AMl,
I have found that that column (the interview is a regular feature in the Sunday Mag) is often quite dissapointing in seriousness and length.
I don't think it was just this one....

Rem does a great impersonation of himself in this issue.
