Kent State University has chosen a glassy, light-filled design concept by the firm of Weiss/Manfredi from New York for its $40 million new building for the College of Architecture and Environmental Design.
Richard L. Bowen & Associates of Cleveland will be the “architect of record” for the project.

I'm glad they won, I thought it was by far the best design. This building for $40 million though? I hope they can pull that off...
Of course they won. They had the sexiest night rendering!
yeah I agree. It was the only "inspired" design amongst the contenders, everyone else looked quite generic. Just because we are in a new age of more humble arch schools (a good thing) doesnt mean we should make them uninteresting.

Around Cleveland and Kent there was a lot of support for the ARO scheme, but it doesn't seem there was much of that anywhere else. Thoughts?
