dwarfs the gem of a building next to it
ya...it does draw your attention to how relatively small the Museum of Folk Art is, but the bottom register (base) of the Nouvel tower responds directly to the height of the Museum, which i appreciate.
the profile calls to mind another of its neighbors - Raimund Abraham's Austrian Cultural Forum.
i haven't fully appreciated nouvel before, but i think this is a very exciting project!
if this one gets built and ends up looking -plastically- like in these renderings, my bet for the 2010 or -11 Pritzker Prize is definitely (or again) Nouvel...
much more interesting than what's going on at the WTC site
