Though I know it is a far more complex problem than this, I can't help but smile at the thought of every private land owner along the border setting up several of these Casas. Direct humanitarian action.
Though illegal immigration was not allowed. Now the government are encouraging it?? Not long now until the North American Union anway, when USA, Canada & Mexico become one county with free movement of labour & good. Time to wake up people.

Just because someone is an "illegal" doesn't mean they don't deserve human rights and basic dignities
i don't think these shelters will encourage border crossing as zoolander seems to think. people will cross regardless because of economic conditions, not because they can get free water and shade at the border. but whatever. this isn't even a political issue, but a humanitarian one.
