So according to the Post via letters obtained by The Associated Press, Eisenhower’s son and family continue to say the design is “too extravagant and attempts to do too much.” Their preferred option "a green open space with a simple statue in the middle" ?
I also like how they have adopted the idea of austerity in these economic times as an argument...
