It is the only project clearly connects to urban fabric. Good choice. I don't like stadiums with track and field and soccer pitch. It distances the 12th player (the fans) from the game only works for Olympics and other events.. A real hidden strategic problem.
However, I want 2020 Olympic Games to go to Istanbul. It is about time...

Tokyo Olympic 2020??
These images are quite spectacular! The exterior reminds me of some beautiful animal skull that Georgia O'Keefe would have painted. I hope the street level view of this building is as sympathetic as these images.
within walking distance of my office. nice area. olympics would be cool here too, but hopefully this stadium makes sense without them coming. looking forward to seeing it go up. so far the only hadid buildings in tokyo have been furniture and installations.
I do not like hadids work at all, but her style seems to work well with stadiums for some reason.
