Video and audio interviews of Hadid, Koolhaas, Le Corbusier, Niemeyer, Sejima , Siza and Zumthor
Today I found on ZDF a video interview from the 28 of May of Peter Zumthor (In German). He mostly speaks about the fate of the Topography of Terror project, maybe this clip can add some more info to a previous Archinect discussion
Here is a list of other video and audio interviews, lectures and movies about buildings. These clips are not new, maybe you have seen them before, but just in case here they are:
Hadid: Also from May (26th), NPR's show Fresh Air has an audio interview with Zaha Hadid. The architect discusses the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center, the Wolfsburg project, Issey Miyake clothes and is also questioned about life in Irak and being a woman architect.
Rem Koolhaas: live from Tate Modern , London
1&1/2 hour video of Rem's lecture from March 2001. He talks about the Harvard research projects.
3 clips about Le Corbusier:
The Villa Savoye short clip from the Roland Collection
A vintage film of Le Corbusier in Venice, talking about how happy he is to do the Venice Hospital Project (in French with Italian translation). This clip come from the RAI archives.
The magazine Al Margen presents an audio interview (In Spanish) of the Argentinean architect Néstor Julio Otero, he discusses his research on a second house Le Corbusier designed for Buenos Aires. The commissioner for this house was the influential writer Victoria Ocampo.
Also from South America, an extract from the DVD Oscar Niemeyer. By the way, this looks like the video that was on display at the Niemeyer designed Serpentine Pavilion 2003.
And a clip (in French) about the exhibition of Oscar Niemeyer at the Musée du Jeu de Paume - Paris, march 2002. This clip comes via creativtv.
The Korean website Archinude has a lecture by Kazuyo Sejima, she speaks in Japanese and is assisted by a Korean translator. The film is split into 36 pieces, the url goes from http://www.archinude.com/architect/sejima/sejima-1.rm to .../sejima-36.rm
From Siza here is a video of his lecture at the Berlage Institute. Siza talks about the design of the church Santa Maria Church near Porto.
To finish off and indirectly related to architecture. City of the Future - Cleaning Le Corbusier's alleys a sound clip by Galactus Zeit posted on microsound.org a site dedicated to showcase audio from academic computer music to post-industrial noise to experimental ambient and post-techno.
