The brief calls for proposals that provide information and generate interaction; stimulate
place-based education; and enhance the appearance, perception, and experience of public
space. The firms were selected through an RFQ-like process. The finalists are Antenna Design, Leeser/StoSS/Levin, Local Networks, and Mesh/Org. The final jury includes John Maeda and Michael Rock. Each team will receive $10,000 to develop proposals.

the finalists seem to be 99.9% from the ITP at NYU. Seems like ITP will one day take over the world. Seriously, John Maeda may be on the jurt representing the ol' Tech, but ITP is the new Tech and they're coming up in a big way.
