Get Lectured continues its Spring 2024 roundup today with a look a the speakers and events in store at the Woodbury University School of Architecture in Los Angeles over the upcoming weeks and months.
The semester begins with a special Welding Workshop and lecture presentation from Austrian artist Thea Moelle on Thursday, January 25. That event is followed by a guest lecture and tour of Black modernist designs around L.A. with the influential Hood Century architectural documenter Jerald Cooper from February 23-25.
Be sure not to miss the trio of student, guest, and faculty exhibitions that open in the school’s Wedge Gallery on February 2, March 1, and April 5, respectively. Finally, there are also a pair of faculty-led symposiums to check out, beginning with the Association for Women in Architecture and Design presentation on March 26 and ending with Conversations About Buildings and Food with faculty members Scrap Marshall and Paulette Singley on April 19.
