Today, our Get Lectured series continues with a look at goings-on happening at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign School of Architecture this fall semester.
Events kick off Monday, August 28, with a lecture on the “Ideal City” from Beijing’s Drawing Architecture Studio founders Li Han and Hu Yan. The lectures continue on September 11 with a visit to campus from Gathering authors and co-principals of Current Interests Mira Henry and Matthew Au. Tiara Hughes will wrap up the month on September 18 with a lecture that’s sponsored by the school’s Orput Endowment Fund.
The next month will begin with Hanrahan Meyers Architect's Tom Hanrahan’s lecture on October 2, followed by another from Lisa Yun Lee on October 16 and the Wanda Dalla Costa Plym Panel on Indigenous Design on October 23. October 30 will see the first Pelli Distinguished Lecturer, Kelly Bair of BairBalliet, take the stage in the Plym Auditorium, followed by Ana Pinto da Silva’s appearance on November 6. Ellen Dunham-Jones, the 2023 Plym Professor, concludes the semester’s programming with her lecture on November 13.
Each lecture will be held at 6 p.m. unless otherwise amended.
