Eames Office has teamed up with Reebok to create a shoe celebrating the work of Charles and Ray Eames.
Made exclusively for Eames Office employees, the Reebok x Eames Club C (Friends and Family) sneaker is inspired by the iconic Eames House, also known as Case Study House No. 8. The shoe was recently revealed by Reebok senior global product marketing manager Leo Gamboa via Instagram.
The shoe mimics the color palette of the Eames House, with the multi-color Eames logo and tan and cream colorway and tongue. The insoles also feature Charles and Ray’s signatures. The shoes are packaged in a box decorated by the house’s façade in color.
Reebok and Eames Office initially teased the collaboration in March, citing a partnership “rooted in heritage that aims to bring together the worlds of fine art, interior architecture and streetwear.”

Dad shoes with lettering by
if the shoe didn't say eames on it i don't think i'd see the connection. they're just white shoes.
It'd be cool if they tied with diagonal threaded rods instead of shoelaces.
In the photograph I can see the inspiration very clearly. I have no idea why they included a sneaker on top of the box. It seems to make no sense at all.

So they made five or six pairs and that's it? I'll take one of the shoeboxes, though.
Really sad sellout “rooted in heritage that aims to bring together the worlds of fine art, interior architecture and streetwear” that does nothing to honor the reputation of these fine designers, and in fact does exactly the opposite.
I have a need for a nice storage box at the office.
Those aren't kicks, these;
These, are kicks, and a better representation of Eames, without the shitty block name.
The Uniqlo Eames shoes were way better. These Reeboks seem to be mostly about making a cool shoe box for collectors.
