The 99-unit tower is located at the heart of a metropolitan and residential district close to La Carolina park, which offers generous green space, business districts, and bars and restaurants.
"As our first residential building in Ecuador, we were inspired by Quito’s particular geographical setting – the surrounding valleys and the Andes mountains and volcanoes, the busy city streets, and ample green space," said Carlos Zapata in a statement. "It’s always exciting to make your mark on a skyline, and we wanted to represent Quito properly and embrace its bountiful natural surroundings and dynamic community."
The facade is mostly glass with sum aluminum paneling to capitalize on the surrounding views of the Quito skyline. "We were thrilled to bring Carlos Zapata and his renowned studio to Quito," said Tommy Schwarzkopf, founder of Uribe Schwarzkopf in a statement. "His unique take on building design has added another beautiful landmark to our skyline and has provided our community with a first-class residence in a dynamic neighborhood with close proximity to La Carolina park and access to a major Metro station. This building will have an enormous impact on the neighborhood and improve the quality of life along the avenue it anchors."

I can no longer tell if I'm seeing photos of a clean, finished building or just super-duper renderings of a design. An article in Dezeen reports this as completed, but it still looks only almost-real.
The tower design seems okay, though the choice to combine the break in massing with a tilt at the top gives the whole thing a Jenga-after-twenty-minutes-and-five-beers look.
Yeah this is completed. I agree though. The images look semi-rendered. I suspect something with the post production of the photos.
Yeah, celebrities have had their photos retouched for years. Why not buildings? I guess.
Jenga-after-twenty-minutes-and-five-beers look = win the internet for the day
^ Does that mean I can clock out now?
Yes!
Looks like a lego.
