For their virtual lecture series, the University of Virginia School of Architecture has focused the Fall semester lectures on "a range of contemporary voices and perspectives on the relationships between race and the built environment, social equity and activism, environmental justice and inclusive practices."

For September, UVA welcomed lectures from Katherine McKittrick, Alissa Ujie Diamond, and Chelina Odbert. In addition to these presentations on urban planning, equity, race, and architectural history, the school also held its Women of Impact Q+A event with Marian Weiss and Nancy Howell Agee. Following that event, the "Justice is Beauty: An Evening with MASS" welcomed a virtual discussion with UVA alums Katie Swenson (MArch '00), Jonathan Evans (BSArch '04), and Mega Suau (MArch '13). Closing out September's virtual programming was a keynote lecture by Dietmar Offenhuber during the Smart Environments DATA Projects Panel Discussion.
October welcomed lectures from Lesley Lokko, Billy Fleming, Jesus Vassalo, Edmund Fowles, Amber Wiley, to name a few. As we enter the month of November, the school presents its final lecture events. On November 2nd, the Student Planners Associate and the UVA Equity Center hosted the Racial Justice in Urban Planning event. November 6th welcomes the school's Inclusion and Equity Open House and a lecture from N. Katherine Hayles during UVA's Ph.D. Talks. November 9th and 10th welcome two esteemed presenters: C.L. Bohannon (Associate Director, Associate Professor, Director of the Community Engagement Lab at Virginia Tech) and Nasrin Seraji of Atelier Seraji.
Julia Olson will discuss No Ordinary Lawsuit: 10 Years Towards Constitutional Climate Justice on November 16th. Concluding UVA's Fall lecture series will be a talk from Theresa Hyuna Hwang, Director of Department of Places on November 20th.
