Starting in September, GSAPP welcomed Stephen Burks, Bryan C. Lee Jr., Yasmeen Lari, and Lola Ben-Alon. Discussions on Site and History: On the Question of Repair and The Preservation of Disability dove into conversations moderated by Galia Solomonoff and David Gissen. Also during the month of September was GSAPP's symposium that focused on the recent book launch Race and Modern Architecture: A Critical History from the Enlightenment to the Present, published by the University Pittsburgh Press and edited by Mabel O. Wilson, Irene Cheg, and Charles L. Davis II.
October's lecture lineup consisted of presentations from the Black Reconstructive Collective, Al Borde, J. Phillip Thompson, and discussions revolving around The Feminist City and Memorial to Enslaved Laborers. On October 26th is GSAPP's Prospective Open House in addition to a lecture from L.E.F.T Architects. Thursday, October 29th, will be another book launch presented by Columbia Books on Architecture and the City.
November's lectures begin with a presentation from Majora Carter on Community as Corporation: Talent-Retention in Low-Status America. Following Carter's presentation is part one of a two-part conference discussing Health and the City on November 13th. Tatiana Bilbao will present the annual Kenneth Frampton Endowed lecture on November 16th. Climate Justice and the City, the second iteration of GSAPP's two-part conference, will take place on November 20th. Closing the Fall lecture series will be a presentation from Toshiko Mori on November 23rd.
