NuVu Studio offers a NuVuX Design Education Fellowship

NuVu Studio seeks a candidate to join our NuVuX team as an instructor at our partner schools around the world. The NuVuX Design Education Fellow will be an instructor based at one of our partner schools who will assist in the development of studio projects and programs at the K-12 level. The Fellow, in conjunction with Coaches from NuVu in Cambridge MA, will be a key resource for students in the design and execution of projects over the course of the school year. The Fellow will be responsible for leading studios where they brainstorm, design, and create with the students. They also work alongside other Coaches and experts from various fields in a dynamic studio setting. An ideal candidate is passionate about education and excited about expanding their own knowledge and creativity.

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee seeks an Architectural Teaching Fellow

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture & Urban Planning (SARUP) offers one-year fellowships in the areas of design instruction and architectural research. The fellowships are geared toward focusing and expanding design research, energizing the architectural curriculum with current discourse, as well as confirming an academic career path for candidates in the formative stage of their professional lives. Innovative and emerging designers, architecture practitioners, and scholars are encouraged to conduct design research and to participate in the SARUP community through the teaching of studios and seminars. Minimum Qualifications: A graduate, or professional degree, or degree commensurate with the candidate’s area of expertise is required.
The Ohio State University seeks Christos Yessios Digital Fabrication Associate
Location: Columbus, OH
The Architecture Section of the Knowlton School at The Ohio State University is seeking candidates at the Associate of Full level for a tenure-track position in architecture with innovative research in emerging digital technologies in design, and will also consider extraordinary candidates at the Assistant level. This endowed position is supported by the Christos Yessios Fund. We aim to hire those who show strong potential for making a significant contribution to design research through scholarship, creative design practices, and/or criticism; and for engendering enthusiasm in the studio and classroom. The Yessios Professor will take an active role in shaping digital design and fabrication pedagogy and research at Knowlton.
Kent State University seeks a Schidlowski Emerging Faculty Fellow
Location: Kent, OH
Starting Fall 2020 this nine-month residency is designed to engage promising junior faculty candidates in a dynamic and progressive academic environment at the outset of an architecture faculty career. In addition to a competitive teaching salary for the 2020-21 academic year, the fellowship provides a separate fund to support the production of an original design research project to be exhibited during the Spring 2021 semester. The successful candidate must hold, at minimum, an accredited Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree or its equivalent. They should also show exceptional promise for teaching architectural design studios and other courses that productively engage their own creative work. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate previous success in university teaching, innovative research, and/or experimental design practice.
MASS Design Group seeks a Design Fellow
Location: Kigali, RW
Based in Kigali, Rwanda, the Design Fellow will have the opportunity to participate as a member of a team tackling unique design problems across the globe and should be interested in contributing to every component of the design process and operations of MASS Design Group. The Design Fellow will have the chance to contribute to a variety of challenging projects during the course of the fellowship alongside exciting partners that range from governmental ministries to international development agencies and small grassroots organizations. The role requires supporting experienced project managers and being involved in all project phases, including early stage research, schematic design, and construction administration. The Fellow will gain experience in thinking critically and applying new methods of health-centric thinking throughout the design and building process to help MASS improve lives through our buildings.
