The Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis has a stellar line-up of spring 2020 public events highlighting topics in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design. Some of the speakers at the College of Architecture and the Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design include Mabel O. Wilson, Lola Sheppard, Tom Leader, Kenneth Frampton, Fuensanta Nieto, Thomas Phifer, José Zabala, Charles A. Birnbaum, and Wiel Arets, to name a few.
Other events this semester include a film screening and Q&A of “This Movie is a Gift” (Anja Salomonowitz, 2019) on February 29, as well as a March 20 panel discussion about the publication “Designing the Modern City: Urbanism Since 1850” by Eric Mumford, the Rebecca and John Voyles Professor of Architecture. Finally, the YES 11.0: Architecture's Annual Year-End Exhibition will open on May 14.
