FAIL." whereas taz suggested "Look at Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park by Jean Nouvel...Except I think the actual material might be acrylic, not polycarbonate." Others the Herzog & de Meuron’s Laban Dance Centre. Some wondered if polycarbonate was evidence of the rise of a sort of farm-chique?

Finally, in the realm of school and mass shooting events, Will Galloway worried that the solution being accepted "is to design a school so that it resembles a training yard for urban combat, with shielding walls, curving plans that obscure lines of sight, and all of that….These are reasonable choices given the issue...BUT, what the hell does this mean? The message seems to be that we will now take avoidance of mass murder as the starting point for design."
senjohnblutarsky, is both a school designer and gun owner and in his opinion "Most of the measures are just ways for the school to show they attempted, in an effort to limit liability (just my opinion)." Later Susz argued "How to design a secure and protective yet a welcoming and nurturing environment for students is a seemingly contradicting delivery but here we are, needing just that. We definitely need to speak to these issues in the language architecture speaks."
As part of Metropolis Magazine’s Chicago Architecture Biennial Preview, Anjulie Rao examined the work of Sweet Water Foundation and FICA (Community Rental Real Estate Fund). Both are developing an expanded definition of ownership, one that sees ordinary people at the center of development.
