With a plethora of podcasts readily available, sometimes a good one worth listening to is hard to come by. This week Archinect's very own Founder/Director, Paul Petrunia, sat down with David Lee and Marina Bourderonnet, from Midnight Charette, to discuss an array of topics. Known for their informal, unscripted, and in-depth interviews, Paul discusses Archinect's humble beginnings back in 1997 (22 years ago!), the problem with journalism today and the faults of internet technology, expanding Archinect into print and retail, dealing with forum moderation and trolls, and much more. The entire conversation runs almost 2 hours long.
Finding a balance between light-hearted discussion and in-depth design focused conversations Midnight Charette has created a platform, especially for young design professionals, to hear and learn what's out there in the profession. Known for their "brutally honest and often not work appropriate" discussions, these podcasts should be added to the must listen to list.
You can also listen to Episode #94 with Paul Petrunia here.

LET'S BEGIN!
he doesn't look too happy. cheer up, Paul!
Maybe let's not police how other people look?
This is such a good and fun interview! And really delves into some of the dangers of internet social networks and rumors.
Thanks Donna!!
Good conversation and some interesting points. It seemed to really coalesce as the discussion about open speech (not free), censorship, and bans evolved. But one point of interest that came up but wasn't really leveled into was the role of the moderators.
Given the perception of other platforms and their use of moderators, I wonder if Archinect would benefit from explaining how the moderators operate and are given direction and discretion (w/o naming names).
Thanks for listening, Marc. You bring up a good point. The plan is to introduce much more transparency in the forum soon, including the moderation process and our policy/guidelines.
Thanks.
That's going to be interesting.
Also- the way they described how they consume and distribute media was made subtly evident by Paul Reference to Sou Fujimoto. That was an interview that occurred in late October/early November, and here it is February.
Haha, yep, that gave it away. David and Marina do everything themselves so it understandably takes a lot longer between recording and airing. When we had them on our show we recorded Wednesday (2 days ago) and released it yesterday, as we have the benefit of having a dedicated sound engineer/editor.
Yes, listening to the shop talk about how ya'll handle your respective processes was revealing (and way geeky).
Super Geeky! Hahaha :b
paul can look most seriously and say the funniest stuff. from that picture, you wouldn't know if he is saying something hilarious or not, you have to hear. often super funny and intelligent stuff.
Thanks Orhan. That's the Canadian way.
