We’re super excited to finally launch Brutal, a passion project that has been in the works for a long time.
Architects love coffee. Archinect loves coffee. So, we have made it our responsibility to source the best beans each season, offering balanced flavor profiles, with a perfect roast. Our own standards for coffee are very high, and we expect most architects will appreciate our demand for the best quality.
We are launching our new line with 2 carefully selected single source varietals – a Guatemala Ceiba, offering notes of tobacco, plum, and cane sugar; and a Brazil Yellow Diamond, with a profile of almond and dark chocolate. Both medium roasts were crafted to be excellent in a variety of preparations, so they are equally good as espresso, pour over, drip or french press.
Pick up a bag of coffee, today, at our shop, Archinect Outpost, in downtown LA’s Arts District or on our newly updated online store.
Yeekai Lim is our roasting partner, and the founder of Cognoscenti Coffee, one of “38 essential coffee shops in the USA”, according to Eater. Not only does Yeekai share our passion for coffee, but he also understands the unique tastes of an architect, as an ex-architect himself who found himself pivoting to coffee during last decade’s recession.
The logo and labels were designed by Folder Studio. You may recognize their name as the designers of our print publication Ed.
One more thing, we’ll be serving samples of Brutal during our Archinect Outpost holiday party on the afternoon of December 15th. Stay tuned for our announcement about that coming very soon.

The label looks even cooler with all the printer marks still on.
Coffee I got already.
Let me know when you roll out that artisanal meth or heroin.
Kidding aside, congratulations.
Cognoscenti is awesome and Im sure this will be too. See ya over the weekend!
I’m so excited about Archinect coffee that when I saw it on Facebook I nearly peed my pants. I’ve instructed my husband that I would like to see some under the Christmas tree.
What's the S&H to Canada... and can it get here by 8am today so I can start my week in style?
The coffee is affordably priced at $16.50. Shipping and handling to CAN is twelve thousand dollars, however. (They always nail ya with the shipping!)
I shake my first in anger furiously in your general direction.
I don't think our online shop is set up to handle shipping outside of the USA because shipping costs are so high. If you are willing to spend the money on shipping, just send us an email and we'll check on the best shipping prices for you.
whats next..? Brutal green tea..?
We can all have virtual coffee together, brutally!
By the way, I just looked at Archinect's retail page and see the most amazing set of miniature CMUs, on their own little pallet no less. They're so cute!
I'm gonna have to buy me some of those. I wonder if they sell at the DTLA store location, or are only available online...
We love the Mini Materials sets too, the cinderblocks and the bricks are both adorable. Everything in our online shop is available at our store, except items that are indicated as sold out.
