Zaha Hadid was a force to be reckoned with throughout her illustrious 40-year career. From her early experimentations to her posthumously completed buildings, over 200 of Hadid's projects are surveyed in a newly expanded and updated edition of the book, “The Complete Zaha Hadid”. Thanks to publisher Thames & Hudson, Archinect is giving away five copies to our readers!
Prepared in collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects, the hardcover book features an introduction by Aaron Betsky, dean of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. “Zaha Hadid boldly explored,” Betsky writes. “She slowed down and accelerated the rhythms of everyday life, and she subjected her environment to the surgical exposition of architecture as a form of representation.”
Chronologically organized, the book includes Hadid's large-scale paintings, sculptural models, multi-perspective drawings, and renderings. It also features ZHA's latest completed buildings and Hadid's final projects, including: the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, the Dominion Office Building in Moscow, and the Port House in Antwerp.
Want a chance to win the expanded and updated edition of “The Complete Zaha Hadid”? Fill out this survey by the deadline on Friday, April 13. Five copies of the book are available to win. Good luck! This giveaway is open to U.S.-based entrants only.
