Voting has ended for your favorite Spring 2018 architecture school lecture posters, which Archinect previously featured in our ongoing Get Lectured series. The results are finally in! Which top four poster designs appealed to Archinectors the most?
Out of 413 responses, Pratt Institute won big in first place with 136 votes. PennDesign's poster by WeShouldDoItAll took second with 68 votes. The third and fourth place posters were close: Cal Poly SLO's LA Metro poster came in third place with 37 votes, while Syracuse Architecture in Florence placed in fourth with 35 votes.
2. PennDesign
4. Syracuse Architecture in Florence
In sharing their feedback, voters either described the poster designs overall as fun with lots of variety, or not exciting and too difficult to read — an issue that came up last time. “They could do better...Others look like they lingered too much in Illustrator,” one voter wrote. Another voter simply commented with “part predictable / part fresh”.
Other voters weren't shy to mention their personal favorites, which included Pratt Institute, Ohio State University, University of Texas at Austin, and Syracuse University. “Orange is the only 'pop' of color, and is an obvious but important nod to the university that doesn't feel cheaply included or forced upon the design and its graphics,” one person said about Syracuse Architecture's U.S. and Florence lecture series posters.
For Pratt Institute's design, one voter praised “the intricacies of the lettering in the meat of the poster”, while another liked how the school “is experimenting with photography and post processing techniques”.

Personally, prefer 3 + 4 in that order to 1 or 2. Perhaps, as they are the most legible?
