The infrastructure council, which was still being formed, would have advised Trump on his plan to spend as much as $1 trillion upgrading roads, bridges and other public works. Its cancellation follows Trump’s announcement Wednesday that he was disbanding two other business advisory panels. — Bloomberg
After multiple CEO's began quitting both the American Manufacturing Council and the Strategic and Policy Forum in protest of Trump's response to Charlottesville, the 45th President has decided to not move forward with the Council on Infrastructure, still in the process of being formed. The council was to have 15 members across real estate, finance, and labor sectors that would advise the President on the funding, support and delivery of infrastructure projects. The announcement of its abandonment comes on the heels of an executive order that would expedite reviewing and permitting processes on major construction projects.
Fixing the country's crumbling infrastructure has been one of the key promises coming out of Trump's Presidential campaign. Some may remember his odd citing during a Presidential debate of LAX as an example of the United States' "third-world" infrastructure. While stated with the comically brash impulsiveness number 45 has become known for, America's deteriorating infrastructure is a serious issue with an expected GDP loss of just under $4 trillion by 2025 if investment gaps are not addressed (the American Society of Civil Engineers).
Trump had proposed months ago to defund established federal infrastructure programs in favor of the council to be led by Richard LeFrak and Steven Roth. Infrastructure has been one of the few issues that people on both sides of the political divide have been hopeful the administration could have a positive impact on. After all, it is one of the few aspects of government that the real estate mogul has had experience with. In wake of the council's absence, it is unclear who will direct this spending and whether or not the administration will be able to successfully deliver on any of its promises.

Donald is wasting 4 years of America's time to say the least. Seems all he will accomplish as president is increasing twitter's stock. I guess this is what it's when government is run like a failing business.
I really hope that flowchart is published somewhere online. I'd love to find out if it says anything substantial or if it's what it looks like: a bunch of nonsense arranged to be illegible but look like a "plan."
Behold the incredibly long flowchart of federal building permissions Trump showed today https://qz.com/1054612/donald-trumps-incredible-infrastructure-flowchart-of-federal-building-permissions/
That is incredible - it's even more unintelligible than I imagined! I couldn't even make out half of the text due to the arrows drawn over the nodes. And there are so many different shapes that don't seem to mean anything... Thank god for the shortened chart. Thanks friend!
