The California Supreme Court decided unanimously Monday that cities and counties may require developers to provide below-market-rate housing as a condition of a building permit.
The decision is expected to make it easier for Los Angeles and other cities with housing shortages to force developers to build or pay for affordable housing.

How about requiring them to show where the water is coming from to support any kind of development??
All this will do is raise the fair market rent for everyone else, making housing in CA even more unaffordable. Good thing Musk launched his hyperpod competition. The poor and middle class will need it to commute from Nevada and Arizona. Why anyone chooses to work in this environment is beyond me? Does every project become LIHTC elligible now? Amazing... Simply amazing
